The Boarding Home in Phayagong was moved during 2008 from the mountains to the village MaeSuai which is located 45 km south of ChiangRai.
The children is now staying in temporary houses but a new boarding house is planned to be built during 2010 and the land has already been bought.
In the Boaring Home now lives 30 children and youth who has switch school to one of the local government run schools. Most of the children has their families in their home village far away up into the mountains.
Without BaanChivitMai's boarding home to live in they would not be able go to school because of the distance.
The home is run by money that norwegian students in Australia collect. Every year groups of students visits the home in MaeSuai. The visits has became very appreciated among the children.
