The new pottery is right by the boarding home in HuaDoi and provide vocational training in pottery for more than ten of our teenagers. Pottery has a strong tradition in Northern Thailand and is a substantial export product to all around the world. Hence, there is both know-how and raw materials in the area.
Initially we will hire local potters to teach, but we hope to be able to run the enterprise on our own soon enough. We are also hopeful that the selling of the ceramics will help finance the other projects.
