Home for exposed children in Thailand
BaanChivitMai means ‘home for new life’ and is an independent,
local aid ministry in Thailand that has saved several hundreds of
children and teenagers from prostitution and drug traffic.
The ministry was founded in 1989 and operates in Thailand’s capitol
city, Bangkok, and in Chiang Rai in the northernmost part of the
country. Through BaanChivitMai, children and young people who are in
danger of falling victim to traffickers find a safe place to live as
well as the opportunity to go to school. BaanChivitMai also runs a home
for children that suffer from AIDS and works to spread information
about AIDS in the mountain villages in Northern Thailand. Your gift makes a difference. Through it, you contribute to create opportunities for a new start and a new life.
