Flower manufacturing

From the very beginning of BCM's ministry, we have produced and sold silk flowers. The children who come from the mountain villages have a great artistic, creative vein, and the flowers they make can hardly be distinguished from the real ones. The silk flowers being made can all be found in the thai fauna. Every single leaf is handmade, that way a flower with a lot of details is created.

The project was started initially as an alternative occupation for the girls who would otherwise have been on the street. Nowadays it's easier for the young people of Chiang Rai to find a job, the flower manufacturing has lived on and become a characteristic for BaanChivitMai.
